All courses in first two terms are core courses (compulsory Courses).One Credit is equal to 30 hours of teaching /class room sessions and half credit is equal to 15 hours of teaching/class room interaction.

  • From Term-3 onwards in the First Year, students enrolled in both the PGDM (FMG) and PGDM-IB (IMG) will be required to undertake Elective courses. The students enrolled in the PGDM (FMG) are required to complete 21.5 credits from the Elective courses spread over Term-3 in the First year and Term-4 to Term-6 in the Second year of the Two Year Programme.

 

The Elective Courses will be offered by the following sentient Areas:

  • Communication
  • Economics & Business Policy
  • Finance & Accounting
  • International Business
  • Information Technology
  • Marketing
  • Organizational Behaviour & Human Resource
  • Quantitative Techniques & Operations Management
  • Strategic Management                                                          

 

  • A student enrolled in PGDM (FMG) may specialize in at most two Areas.

 

  • For Specialization-I, students must register for a maximum of 7 credit courses and a minimum of 6 credit courses. For Specialization-II, students must register for a maximum of 6 credit courses and a minimum of 5 credit courses. Students are not permitted to specialize in any third Area and as such he/she will not be allowed to opt for more than 3 credits out of the balance credit of courses from any one Area. International Immersion Programme (IIP) is a 0.5 credit Elective course.

 

  • In order to provide the students opportunities to specialize in their Area of choice, each Sentient Area will offer Elective courses.  The Sentient Area may specify certain Elective courses as Specialization Area Pre-requisite (SAPR) courses that must be taken by those students who have chosen that Area as Specialization-I or Specialization-II.
