Advisory Committee




CRIFT has been associated with like-minded individuals and organizations in the past. And to continue on the path to development and research on frugal innovation, the center has set up an Advisory Committee composed of various experts from different fields and countries. The committee closely works with the experts and develop strategies to promote frugal innovation.

The responsibilities of this Advisory Committee include articulating the goals, means, and primary constituents to be served by the committee, ensuring effective planning, monitoring and strengthening of programs and services, ensuring adequate financial resources, and enhancing the committee’s public standing.

The aim is to bring together people from around the world who share a similar interest in making the world a better place with the use of frugal innovations. Being one of a kind in this venture, the center seeks advice from these intellectual brains and walk through the path of success together. Also, it works towards public welfare and support them in each way possible through our organization.

The members of the advisory committee work and discuss to develop strategies for the promotion of frugal innovations and provide valuable insights from their plethora of experience. The center collaborates with the members and work under them in the light of their ideas and valuable experience, in a view to promote frugality in our city and all over in the future. It is an honor to work in the field with their guidance and skills of such experts.

Prof. Anil Kumar Singh

Dr. Anil Kumar Singh is a faculty at FORE School of Management with expertise in the domain of Strategy. He has spent around 7 years in Pharmaceuticals and flexible packaging in marketing, general management, and operations domain.

He has been teaching MBA students for more than 14 years. The last designation which he held was, Professor and Head-MBA, Institute of Business Management, GLA University, Mathura. He has undergone eight courses (at IIML, IIMA, IIMB, IIMC, IIMI, MDI & IIFT) conducted by strategic management forum of India and has received Management Teachers program certificate.

He has completed six months course on small scale industrial enterprise management from IIT Kanpur and is a certified auditor from Joint Accreditation System of Australia and New Zealand (JAS-ANZ). He has to his credit two edited books and 12 Publications.




Venkata Gandikota

  • Director of Customer Success- Zapflow
  • Founder - The Nordic Frugal Innovation Society & Lead Organizer - InnoFurgal
  • Based on his experience with the Indian market while also realizing the need for affordable & sustainable solutions, he started the non-profit association InnoFrugal association.
  • Involved in developing the impact investing ecosystem in Finland with the 1st of its kind Nordicmade Impact Investment Day at InnoFrugal 2018 in Helsinki.
  • Written articles focusing on frugal innovations in the Finnish media and on various online entities.
  • Specialties: Impact Investing, Frugal Innovation.



Jaideep Prabhu

  • Director of the Centre for India & Global Business.
  • He joined Judge Business School at the University of Cambridge, England as a Jawaharlal Nehru Professor of Indian Business & Enterprise.
  • His research interests include international business, marketing, strategy, and innovation.
  • He has co-authored books related to Frugality and Innovation like Writer of Jugaad Innovation: Think Frugal, Be Flexible, Generate Breakthrough Growth, Frugal Innovation: How to Do More with Less, and many more.



Nivedita Agarwal

  • Assistant Professor at Friedrich-Alexander-University of Erlangen-Nürnberg
  • Worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher for two years at the Chair of Information Systems – Innovation and Value creation.
  • She has published articles in several peer reviewed academic journals such as the Journal of Business Research, IEEE Transactions on Engineering Management and International journal of Technology Management.
  • Editor-In-Chief of the International Journal of Entrepreneurial Venturing (IJEV).



Alexander Brem

  • CCSR International Research Associate at DeMontfort University (UK)
  • Visiting professor at the EADA Business School in Barcelona (Spain) and HHL Graduate School of Management (Germany)
  • Co-founded the consultancy firm VEND consulting with three fellow students which was nominated for the Bavarian Entrepreneurship Award and won the Franconian Entrepreneurship Award
  • His work is acknowledged with being ranked among the Handelsblatt 2019 top 100 list of business and management professors in German speaking countries.
  • Appointed as honorary professor at SDU in 2017 and as IEEE Senior member in the following year



Vijay Gopal Pande
