Nikita Shekhawat

Nikita Shekhawat reveals how she got transformed into an industry-ready professional.

'The hectic schedule, back-to-back classes, projects, and assignments helped me to realize the value of time management and brought me face to face with the pressures of corporate life,' says Nikita Shekhawat (PGDM, Batch 2017-19). Rigorous learning and industry exposure enabled Nikita to impress her recruiters and bag the placement with ICICI Bank as a Deputy Manager.

Working with the leading name in banking is a dream come true for Nikita. She admits that it wasn’t an easy ride. She was built anew during her two years at FORE School of Management. As she shares, 'From heavy workloads, timely submissions, and exhausting committee selections to internship experience with Tata Chemicals, it has taught me so many things about life, the struggles, and standing your ground and never giving up.'

Nikita says all management aspirants should pursue the PGDM programme as it takes one out of the comfort zone. Healthy interaction with students from diverse backgrounds also adds to the learning experience. Talking about her time at the B-School, she says, 'The programme taught me how to be proactive and get my priorities right. By the end of the programme I was confident to speak up, even when I didn’t have the right answers.'
