Ownership and Management

Abhigyan (ISSN 0970-2385- Print) is the flagship management and Organisational research Journal of the Foundation for Organisational Research  & Education, New Delhi. The Foundation for Organisational Research and Education (FORE) was set up in 1981, in the heart of the capital, as a non- profit institution by a group of professionals from government and the corporate world who were renowned and respected as leaders in their respective fields. It has always  maintained the highest standard and has had the support of some of the finest minds on the subject.

Publishing Schedule

It is being published regularly since 1983. The medium of the Journal is  English and is  published 4 times a year ( June, September, December and March).

Scope and Objectives

Abhigyan means the quest for  identity of institutions and people. It is a Sanskrit word and literally  means direct perception aided by prior knowledge .It is devoted to disseminating findings from research work and result of exploration leading to original ideas concerning various aspects of functional areas of Management.  The Journal has served as an instrument to communicate several new ideas related to work culture. Periodically the best of Abhigyan have been published as an anthology. They are considered significant contribution to the world of knowledge.

Peer -Review Process

Abhigyan is a peer reviewed Journal. All papers submitted to Abhigyan ( as per the guidelines for authors) go through a  preliminary  review  at the  editorial desk  and those making the grade are sent to external referees for blind  review. Improper or weak submissions are eliminated at the initial screening.

On the recommendation of the editorial review the paper may be rejected or  sent back for revision or published. Review process usually takes about 3- 8 months.

Ethical Statement

Papers are considered only after a self certification about the originality of the paper. The paper should not have been submitted for publication nor published elsewhere in any print/electronic form and the same research will not be  submitted elsewhere without permission of the Honorary Editor of Abhigyan. The paper should not  infringe on the right of others and should not contain any libelous or unlawful statements. The data  used in the paper should be as per  highest professional standards. A copy right requirement must be met by the contributors. The data used for research must in all cases be authentic and verifiable. Any deviation in strictest form of professional integrity is unacceptable.

Processing Fee

There is no fee for processing or publishing a paper in Abhigyan.  FORE pays an honorarium of Rs. 3000/- for accepted papers / contributions along with a copy of the Journal.

For subscribing the journal one should write to the Journal secretariat along with the payment details. Please click here for the details of Abhigyan subscription. Journal secretariat will endeavor to fulfill claims for missing or  damaged copies with in six months of publication.

Revenue Sources

Abhigyan is a self sustaining Journal  supported by Foundation for Organisational Research & Education. Main source  of revenue is from subscriptions and advertisements. .

Advertising

Abhigyan consider any advertisement which is of a developmental orientation from a registered entity as per due process of law and contains no libelous and unsocial projection of gender profiles and gender relations.

Conflict of Interest

Referees or contributors are drawn from institutions other than the institutions to which contributors are affiliated. The reviews are designed as blind reviews to eliminate any possible  conflict of interest.
