Special Interest Group-Marketing as the name itself suggests is for the students who have a strong inclination towards activities like branding, sales, digital marketing. Our objective is to promote marketing as a discipline amongst the students at FORE.
We read Kotler as our part of curriculum but here in Sig-Ma we are the practical implementers of Kotler. The flag ship event of Sig-Ma – 'MARKATHON' is a sheer test of an individual's sales and marketing capability. A team is given Rs 999 as an investment and they need to grow this money by using different channels of Sales. The other event 'ADVISHKAR’ is a digital marketing event where the teams are given the logos of existing brands and are challenged to come up with their own brand of the same logos and marketing is done over a digital platform i.e. Facebook. We at Sig-Ma prefer creating a world where 'out of the box' thinking is not preached but practiced. Sig-Ma also organizes numerous case study competitions and marketing talks graced by celebrated experts in the field.
