The Special interest group for Marketing (SigMa), is synonymous with creativity on campus. The group comprises of enthusiastic students who have a deep rooted love for marketing. SigMa organizes marketing related events throughout the academic year and invites prominent faces from the Corporate World to interact with the batch.
Advishkaar is the first event of the year, focusing on one of the most visible parts of the Marketing Mix- Advertising. Further, the SIG organizes two events during Genesis, ‘Impersonate: Think Like a CMO’ and ‘UniAd’, which give participants a chance to strategize, hone their selling skills, build their own brands, and apply their learning in real life case scenarios. Last year, a new intercollegiate event was introduced by SigMa, The Tipping Point where teams were asked to make an STP Strategy/Model/Plan/Analysis (Segmentation, Targeting and Positioning) for the given existing Brand and a new product design, a go to market strategy.
SigMa also organizes workshops for students on marketing related topics such as ‘FMCG Scientific Sales & Marketing’ and ‘Digital Marketing and Product Management’ to better equip our student body to face marketing world head on.
We aim to bridge the gap between what we learn in the classrooms and how it is applied in real world scenarios. SigMa pushes you to be creative and think out of the box.
