The Special interest group for Marketing (SigMa), is synonymous with creativity on campus. The group comprises of diverse students with a commonality — deep-rooted love for marketing. Throughout the academic year, SigMa organizes numerous marketing-based events including inter and intra college competitions, seminars and workshops.
The academic year opens with Advishkaar, which focuses on one of the most crucial aspect of the marketing mix- Advertising. Further, SigMa organizes two events during Genesis namely, Impersonate: Think Like a CMO and UniAd: Be Distinct or Go Extinct which gives participants a chance to strategize, hone their selling skills, build their own brands, and apply their learning in real life case scenarios. The next unmissable competition comes in the form of Tipping Point, in which teams design an STP (Segmentation, Targeting and Positioning) Model for a new product under an existing brand. SigMa also organizes marketing seminars – Melange, in which prominent marketing leaders and managers from the corporate world are invited to interact with the batch.
Furthermore, SigMa organizes workshops such as ‘FMCG Scientific Sales & Marketing’ and ‘Digital Marketing and Product Management.’ These are designed to impart hands-on marketing-related knowledge to the students.
We aim to bridge the gap between what we learn in the classrooms and how it is applied in real world scenarios. SigMa pushes you to be creative and think out of the box.
