Special Interest Group- Marketing (SigMa), is linked with Innovation on Campus. The team comprises 6 dynamic students with a natural flair for marketing. SigMa hosts a variety of marketing-related events during the academic year, including inter & intra college competitions, lectures, and workshops.
The academic year is inaugurated with Advishkaar, which spotlights one of the most important elements of the Marketing Mix: Advertising. SigMa hosts their flagship event during Genesis, Impersonate: Think Like A CMO, an inter-college real-life case study competition. UniAd: Be Distinct or Go Extinct, a branding and advertisement-based competition organized by SigMa to cut the edge off from Kotler and case presentations, with an on-the-spot battle of wits and creativity. The final trimester brings about Tipping Point, in which teams develop an STP (Segmentation, Targeting, Positioning) Model for a new product/service under an existing franchise. SigMa also hosts marketing seminars- Melange, wherein prominent marketing executives from the corporate environment are invited to impart their knowledge and experience & interact with the students.
SigMa also hosts workshops on topics such as ‘FMCG Sales and Marketing’ in collaboration with ForeVision & ‘Digital Brand Building’ in collaboration with Kraftshala, intended to impart students with hands-on marketing knowledge.
We seek to bridge the gap between what we learn in the classroom and how it is implemented in real-world circumstances. SigMa encourages you to be ingenious and think outside the box.
