FORE Operations and Strategy Group (FOSTRA) seeks to equip the world of Operations and Strategy with resources and dissemination of information. Initiatives from FOSTRA helps students to learn the nuances of operations and risk management along with insights into building strategy and understanding the art of negotiation. Aiming to increase managerial acumen of students so as they run their businesses effectively, beyond the glass skyscrapers everyone admires from outside.
A glimpse into some of the activities organized by FOSTRA:
Event involves a panel discussion where in various industry specialist interact with the students to give insights about how corporate world works and how they can build a successful career ahead.
It is a fun event which combines both Operations and Adventure. This event aims to give a better understanding of concepts of operations and strategy through practical applicability. Also, the event involves collaboration with an adventure sport company which could help to facilitate the event safely.
A flagship business strategy and operations-based event, conducted during Genesis, an annual cultural fest, attended by all top premiere B-schools across PAN India.
In our drive to bridge the gap between the classroom learning and its applications in the industry, our one such initiative is to organize an Industrial Visit for the students of FORE School of Management, New Delhi. During the year 2019-2020, the students got an exclusive look into the HERO-Making Process of the HERO MOTOCORP in their Gurugram Plant.
The event involves a combination of optimal bidding strategies, efficient management of the (virtual) money purse, and unbridled enthusiasm for the game! Loosely modeled on the IPL auctions, the bidding has plenty of twists and turns to surprise even the greatest cricket enthusiasts.
FOSTRA also organizes several Certification Courses from renowned companies to help students improve their Managerial Acumen. For Example, last year we organized Six Sigma Certification, a four full day certification program conducted by KPMG India.
