FORE Economy & Finance Forum (FEFF) ) is a Special Interest Group (SIG) formed by the students of FORE. It aims to evoke interest, provide knowledge and inform the students about happenings in the world of economy and finance. The society strives to prepare students for the looming challenges that await young business professionals entering the world of finance. We create awareness amongst students by keeping them informed about the financial happenings across the world through various events which simultaneously them gaining an upper hand in the particular field. The committee also releases weekly articles, news analyses, infographics, and union budget updates.
Some of the events organized by the team are as follows:
Arthashastra - Arthashastra comprises a series of webinars and seminars organized by the committee, aiming to provide profound insights and information on various finance-related topics. These sessions are led by industry leaders who bring their expertise to the participants.
War-room - War Room is an inter-college M&A case competition where teams are presented with the financial performance data of a company and its key competitors. Participants must assess whether to acquire or merge with the target company, based on their valuation skills and the current financial landscape. The primary challenge is to optimize return and stability for the parent organization.
Sampatti - Sampatti is an inter-college portfolio management competition held during Genesis, the Annual Fest of FORE. Teams are given sets of equity shares and IPOs to bid on, utilizing their valuation skills to maximize their portfolios. Participants must also navigate real-time news and updates, adding complexity to their decision-making process.
Finance Workshop - The Finance Workshop is a one-day event designed to provide in-depth knowledge and practical experience with financial tools. Industry leaders facilitate this workshop, sharing their expertise and offering hands-on learning opportunities.
