Multi-location and Multi-casting are the spirit of the all new JUBILATE as attendance

crosses a whopping 500 FORE alumni!

It is probably the only way to describe Jubilate 2014.

In a radical shift from the usual Jubilate annual alumni meet on the campus of FORE School of Management, this year it took place simultaneously across three other locations in India. While ITC Grand Central played host to FORE’s alumni in Mumbai, the Bangalore and Kolkata chapters were held at The Goldfinch Hotel and The Taj Bengal, respectively.

“The number of alumni who registered for the meet this year was 588,” says Prof. Anupam Narula, Professor-in-Charge, FORE Alumni Network (FAN). “This is just slightly up from the usual numbers every year. Yet, an impressive 518 alumni turned up for the event, simply due to the multi-location concept introduced from last year. The FORE Alumni Network and FORE Alumni Association have become a formidable source of networking, establishing business relationships, and advancement opportunities, over many  years.”

Of course, the largest gathering – well over 400 – was at the Jaypee Vasant Continental in Delhi-NCR. The entire leadership and management team of FORE School of Management, New Delhi was present to host the alumni at the popular venue. Prof. J.K.Das, Director, FORE School of Management, encouraged the alumni present to work together to be agents of change.

For those who couldn’t make it to the event, FAN team multicast via a LIVE feed on Facebook and Twitter. The incessant buzz of updates on social media through the duration of Jubilate 2014 made it almost a global affair.

As is tradition, the FORE Alumni Network (FAN) recognised 5 alumni in 4 award categories. Abhishek Gier (WMG 2004 batch), well known as the founder of Catalyst, a prominent NGO that helps the underprivileged, was given an award for Public Contribution. Gayatree Anand (2010 batch), a Program Manager with Absolute Return for Kids (Ark), was also awarded in the same category. She is currently handling a project for the Government of Madhya Pradesh on school quality assessment for 2000 schools. Sam Chopra (2008 batch) was recognized for his contribution to Alma mater. Shailesh Dash (1994 batch) was awarded for Entrepreneurship, and his batchmate, Tanoj Sarna, was recognized for Outstanding Executive Leadership.

The excitement and camaraderie in the air was palpable, and away from the dais, people could be seen mingling and reliving old memories. Professors and alumni relived past experiences, with professors taking immense pride hearing of the success of their former students. And, current students got a chance to interact with their professors, while also learning about the current business environment from the alumni.

Memories were shared, business cards were exchanged, and promises were made to stay connected. And with new memories created throughout the evening, Jubilate 2014 was a night to remember.
