With a total of 48 Management Development Programmes conducted in 2012-13 session - 36 Open programmes, and 12 in-house programmes – FORE School of Management was responsible for addressing the time-bound management needs of 630 participant managers from organizations across the country. With 65 domain and target specific MDP’s lined up for Academic session 2013-14, FORE School of Management is fast emerging as the leading centre of excellence for management development in the country. According to Prof. Asif Zameer, Chairman – MDP, FORE School of Management, a sustained approach to developing quality trainers has made this possible.

"FORE has been meticulously developing a faculty group which comes from best of academic institutes as well as diverse industry experience. Given the business environment today, tried and tested methods are no longer the guarantor of success. All the faculty members keep abreast of the latest concepts and practices, innovate the content and the delivery mechanism, and really strive to add lot of value to any MDP that they conduct. We continuously try to transfer this spirit of innovation to all the participants in our MDPs. The pace of change has accelerated to levels never seen in human history. No individual or organization can keep on doing what they had been doing say ten years back and hope to produce great results. Technology growth is a challenge such that any competitive advantage one had is getting neutralized very fast. Thus, "Unlearning" traditional ways and continuously learning new things has become the mantra to flourish in today’s world."

While Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Software SAP, Advanced Business Intelligence and Statistical Software SAS, ‘CAPSTONE BUSINESS SIMULATION’, INDUSTRAT Simulation Software, Music2Go Marketing Simulation software and Microsoft Dynamics CRM have been an integral part of the curriculum at FORE, the Management has now decided to implement ERP package for almost all internal operations – including MDPs. According to Prof. Asif Zameer, this will ensure quick-time analysis and help chalk out MDPs that will best address the emerging needs of an industry or specific organisation.

"The MDPs designed by FORE School of Management are based on our understanding of the needs of Training in the market, as well as the feedback that we receive from the ongoing training programmes. Whenever, we approach any organization, its HR team looks into its own knowledge/ competency gap and shortlists the training programme from our offering. Many times, a firm approaches us to customize some of our standard training programmes to their own unique requirement. Then, the concerned faculty members have a series of meetings with the HR / Operations heads and finalize the contents."


This model has worked out very well for FORE School of Management, as was evident in the recent success of the MDP on "Exploring the Supply Chain" customised for TATA Chemicals. The participants were mostly experienced, mid-management executives from Plants, Operations and Logistics


"I liked the way in which fundamentals of inventory control, planning, warehousing, purchasing contract & INCOTERMS topic were dealt with," remarks Mr. Jayesh Purohit, one of the participants of the MDP customised for TATA Chemicals, which received excellent feedback rating. "In particular, the affect on cost of SCM addressed under fundamental of warehouse management & transportation, had a deep impact on my understanding."


Prof. Asif Zameer believes that there is immense potential in open programmes of longer durations. For instance, 3 months certificate programmer for working executives in different domains of management like Finance, Marketing, and Operations have found a lot of favour with the industry. He points out that the day is not far when top management institutions will grow into regular training partners for organisations and corporates. This will translate in more customized MDPs. It is in this direction that FORE School of Management intends to consolidate its position this year, by solemnising long-term contract with many organizations.
