Programme Introduction:

The program aims to build competencies and enhance the capabilities of international trade managers/business leaders. Globalisation has led to increased cross-border activity as corporations, and countries get integrated into the world economy. It is imperative for industry leaders to adapt and integrate into the fast changing realities of doing business across different parts of the world. In this globalised era, India too has had an increased presence in the international market with the gradual integration of Indian economy with the global economy, thereby enhancing global trade, showing increased FDI activity, growing foreign exchange reserves and the business policy encouraging domestic companies to expand internationally. This course will enhance understanding of global trends and leading to the development of a business strategy for expanding globally. Apart from the program directors, this course will have sessions handled by nationally and internationally reputed professionals/academicians.

Programme Objective:

• Understand how the process of globalisation is creating opportunities and challenges for the industry.
• To provide an overview of international organisations like WTO and their relevance in the present day world.
• To familiarise the participants on important aspects of global trade and its impact on India.
• To provide an overview of various risks in international trade and ways to mitigate.
• To familiarise the participants on the recent developments in management practices and technological developments.

Sh. Ved Prakash has been Chairman and Managing Director, MMTC Limited, an international trading company and a Government of India enterprise under the Ministry of Commerce. He is an alumnus of IlT, Delhi and IIM, Kolkata and has over 35 years of varied experience in National/International trade and has also handled various important projects as Chairman of NINL, a 1.1 million tonne steel plant ,Chairman of MTPL, Singapore and is associated with FORE School of Management,New Delhi as a visiting faculty.

Sh. Ved Prakash has been a member of many professional bodies He was also Former Chairman SCOPE, the apex body of Public Sector Enterprises in India for the period FY 2017-2019, and has been on the Executive Board of All India Management Association (AIMA) and Delhi Management Association (DMA). He has also been closely associated with Cll, FICCI, PHDCCI and other Industry bodies. He is widely travelled and has received many awards from institutions of repute for his initiatives.

Prof. Sudeep has more than seventeen years of experience in Information Technology & Management training domain. He has more than eight years of experience in teaching postgraduate management students and nearly eight years in the IT industry. His IT industry experience included software development, project management, information systems audit and information security consulting. He holds a graduate degree in Physics (B.Sc.) from M.G University, Kottayam, a postgraduate degree in Management (Master of International Business) from School of Management Studies, Cochin University of Science & Technology, Cochin and PhD in Management from Cochin University of Science & Technology, Cochin. He is a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) and ISO 27001:2013 Lead Auditor. He has good exposure in auditing/consulting for banking & financial institutions. He has associated with major financial institutions like Federal Bank, Dhanalaxmi Bank, Muthoot Finance, UAE Exchange and National Finance Co. (Oman). His teaching interest includes courses like international management, international business management and international economic organisations.
