Programme Introduction:

Beside with a myriad of stakeholders such as employees, customers, activists, and other voices, the challenge before the business leaders are to create more sustainable work systems. Indeed, the most pressing question in boardrooms around the global is, how to provide a meaningful working experience to employees or creating an ecosystem to address the issues from the social and environmental outlook within the organization. It has been no less of a challenge in this day and age of automation. It has increasingly become important that people in an organization have meaningfulness in the work they do, the people they work for and a sense of purpose attached to their lives. Organizations are increasingly being called upon to take responsibility for the ways their operations impact society and the natural environment. Social Responsibility initiatives can, of course, increase engagement for employees of all ages. Also, engaging employees in the organizations’ sustainable practices of sorts is a sign of organizational effectiveness. Hence, organization that do a great job at leveraging their social responsibility initiatives embed them into their employees’ jobs and they can come up with innovative ideas for how to make a positive impact in the community at large.

  • Creating sustainable work systems frameworks.
  • Strategic Engagements with internal and external stakeholders (Collaborative frameworks; stakeholder engagement and materiality assessment).
  • Improved sustainable employee practices: Learning from the best initiatives.
  • Social initiatives: Implementation process and Reporting issues.
  • Ethical Leadership and Governance.

Programme Methodology:

Interactive mode of teaching which includes case studies, practical exercises and group discussions involving the participants.

Target Participants:

Managers and executives from public and private sector organizations and MNCs. Also other agencies like government departments, Chambers of Commerce, NGOs, and organizations associated with social sector projects are welcome to participate.

Programme Director’s:

Prof. Shallini Taneja has 17 years of experience in teaching, research and industry. She is a fellow from Management Development Institute (MDI), Gurugram. During her fellowship, she worked as a senior research fellow in a project for 6 months with her professors in AICTE sponsored National Research Project on “Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Reporting Practices in Indian Companies”. She is the recipient of sponsorships from ISDRS at Columbia University and The Wharton School, U.S.A. for paper presentation and attending the conferences. She has taken lectures at St. Mount Mary's University, USA on “Business Ethics and Corporate Social Responsibility in Indian Companies”. She has served as honorary advisor to BRICS Chamber of Commerce & Industry, New Delhi in the area of CSR and Sustainability. She has taken lectures as guest faculty at The Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs (IICA) under the aegis of The Ministry of Corporate Affairs, GOI on agenda building & impact assessment of projects in the social sector. She has been associated with The United Nations Information Center for India and Bhutan, based in New Delhi, India for conducting joint programmes on Sustainable Development Goals-Agenda 2030. She is currently the Chair-Economics & Business Policy Area and Prof-in-charge, Center for Sustainable Development (CSD) at FORE. She is the reviewer and guest editor of various national and international journals for various publishers such as SAGE, Emerald and Springer. She has attended and presented many research papers at national and international conferences. She has contributed chapters in edited books and published peer review articles in national and international journals. Her research paper published in Journal of Business Ethics (Impact factor: 4.141) has more than 412 citations since 2011. She has conducted the International Training Program for EMBA Batch from Sichuan University, China on Business Environment and Corporate Governance. She has conducted various workshops, Faculty Development Programs (FDP’s) and Management Development Programmes (MDP’s) on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Business Responsibility Reporting, Sustainability Reporting and Impact Measurement of Social Projects for the middle level and senior managers as well as for the Executive Directors for the various companies like NHPC, GAIL, SAIL, NTPC, RITES, IRCTC, J.K Cement, EXIM BANK, SBI and Business Support groups like CII and PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Prof. Prachi Bhatt: Professor in Organization Behavior & Human Resources Management at FORE School of Management. She is Ph.D. and Masters in Human Resource Management (Gold Medalist). She has over 13 years of research, teaching and training experience. Her Ph.D. research deals with HRD paradigm shift in High Performing Organizations. She is Certified in Negotiation Research and Teaching from one of the world's best Business Schools - Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University, USA. She is an active participant in conferences & seminars and has papers to her credit and has published in National and International refereed journals of repute. She has also co-authored a book titled “Riding the New Tides: Navigating the Future Through Effective People Management”, published by Emerald Publishing (India). She also has to her credit book-chapters in the books published by Emerald Publishing (India), Bloomsbury Publishing houses. Negotiation Skill, Competency Mapping, Psychometric Research, Intrinsic Motivation, Cultural studies, are her areas of interests. Her research experience and corporate association cover projects with Zydus Cadila Healthcare Ltd., Ahmedabad, Gujarat Co-operative Milk Marketing Federation Ltd, Anand, and Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals, New Delhi. She has designed and conducted MDPs/ FDPs/ Workshops for corporate executives/ academicians from both public and private sector organizations. She is also Head, Centre for Psychometric Testing & Research (CPTR) at FORE.
