With the changes in the environment, we are steadily moving towards a vision in education system that is learner-centered. Educators are faced with many advances and challenges with regard to creating an effective learning environment. Educators will have to up-skill in order to effectively adapt well meet the changing needs of learners and society, at large.
A few questions that educators are surrounded with are about how to prepare and develop students to cope with the ever-changing future and its demands— what competencies are critical to be nurtured — ways to create an equitable learning environment? A competence-oriented approach is a more evidence-based approach that aids an educator with designing a equitable and learner-centered classroom environment. Hence, there is a need for the today’s educators to evolve and build on the capability beyond the existing methods to becoming competent to be able to design learning experiences that are effective.
This FDP is aimed at educators who would be interested in improving their competence to design effective learner-centered environment applicable across contexts. The program focuses on ways to improve their class-room learning environment through competence oriented learning frameworks. To facilitate understanding learning process and about the key global competencies in education and training. Develop new approaches to learning, and design instructional strategies that respond to the diverse ways in which students engage and learn.

Understand the underlying global competencies in education and ways to develop them.
Developing participants’ ability to identify the key competencies and to integrate those in their specific courses.
Apply frameworks that can be used for competency-based instructional strategies and assessments for facilitating deeper learning experience for and with diverse learners and contexts.
Participants would gain insights through discussion, activities encouraging reflection on the existing teaching and assessment practices; and interaction with expert.

Prof. Prachi Bhatt: Professor in Organization Behavior & Human Resources Management at FORE School of Management. She is Ph.D. and Masters in Human Resource Management (Gold Medalist). She has over 14 years of research, teaching and training experience. Her Ph.D. research deals with HRD paradigm shift in High Performing Organizations. She is a Certified Expert in Competency-based Management from HRSG, Canada. Also, she is Certified in Negotiation Research and Teaching from one of the world's best Business Schools - Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University, USA. She is an active participant in conferences & seminars and has papers to her credit and has published in National and International refereed journals of repute. She has also co-authored a book titled “Riding the New Tides: Navigating the Future Through Effective People Management”, published by Emerald Publishing (India) in 2017. 2017. She also has to her credit book-chapters in the books published by Taylor & Francis, Emerald Publishing (India), and Bloomsbury Publishing houses.
Negotiation Skill, Competency Mapping and Management, HR Technology, Psychometric Research, Employer branding, are her current areas of interests. Her research experience and corporate association cover projects with Zydus Cadila Healthcare Ltd., Ahmedabad, Gujarat Co-operative Milk Marketing Federation Ltd, Anand, and Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals, New Delhi. She has designed and conducted training programs for Faculty, Research Scholars, Administrators of Institutes, and for Corporate executives in both public and private sector organizations. She is also Head of Centre for Psychometric Testing & Research (CPTR) at FORE.
