Healthcare has become one of India’s largest sectors - both in terms of revenue and employment. The Indian healthcare sector is growing at a brisk pace due to its strengthening coverage, services and increasing expenditure by public as well as private players. There is significant scope for enhancing healthcare services considering that healthcare spending as a percentage of Gross Domestic Product (GDP) is rising. The Government of India is planning to increase public health spending to 2.5 percent (1.4 percent present) of the country's GDP by 2025.
In recent years’ healthcare has witnessed an enormous increase in complexity in the delivery of health care services, demanding efficient quality management of facilities within the available resource at optimum cost, to achieve the production target of an organization, and also to maintain customer satisfaction. There is a shortage of trained resources in the healthcare industry to manage this challenging situation.
The overall objective of the programme is to train the healthcare managers in using modern operations management techniques for efficient and effective management of healthcare services. This program is equally helpful for the healthcare professional with a management background or without it.
The methodology would include an appropriate mix of lectures, experience sharing, discussions, case studies, and group activities.
The programme is designed for, Medical Superintendents, Medical Directors, Nursing Directors, Hospital Managers, Manager Operations - Quality managers, Quality Assurance Officers, HMIS Officers/Consultants, Public Health Consultants, Doctors, Healthcare consultants, Supply Chain Managers, Hospital Operations Executives, Medical Representatives, Distribution and Logistics Managers with substantial managerial responsibilities, interests, and motivation to learn and improve healthcare services.
