Faculty members with substantial corporate exposure bring their learning to the classroom," says Abhilasha Gupta, with gratitude, on getting placed with HUL.

The final placement season is underway at FORE School of Management, New Delhi. So far, about 75% percent of the batch has already been placed.

The importance of a proper preparation for the interview has been stressed repeatedly by faculty members and industry leaders alike. The pre-interview prep is an opportunity to summarize and incorporate the academic learnings of the course.

Abhilasha Gupta of the Class of 2014-2016 shares some of her interview preparation experience for the benefit of students.

    - How did you go about cracking the interview with HUL?

I arrived at my interview with a clear and calm mind. The hands-on experience during my summer internship, as well as the knowledge gained, helped me to answer questions about how the internship connected to the job and company. The internship experience is a very common interview question, so students should be thorough in answering it.

    - How do you think the learning at FORE has prepared you for the job?

At FORE, faculty members with substantial corporate exposure bring their learning to the classroom. I feel so comfortable with practical and case-based questions and studies now due to the experience in the classroom.

    - What would be your advice to other students who wish to follow the same path and work in a similar company/profile?

My profile at HUL is in the Sales & Marketing domain. An understanding of the distribution channels and marketing strategies is of utmost importance. Besides this, the common skills like logical reasoning, creativity and clarity of thought are essential.
