Competency Workshop 2.0: Talent (HiPo) Management

Introduction

HR professionals have a grown into a myriad of roles and functions. Effective identification and assessment of HiPo talent and their management is one of the crucial responsibilities. Thus, dealing with competencies that is more evidence-based would provide impetus for the HR practitioners in varied contexts to contribute to a robust talent management.

Designed for those HR professionals who plan to learn advanced approach to talent assessment, this workshop aims to help learning to take a strategic perspective to talent measurement and apply competency-based assessment of HiPo talent and talent management.

Objectives

This is a workshop which using structured and unstructured pedagogy would help the HR professionals:

  • To understand and learn more on competencies, and HiPo profiles
  • To learn how to identify HiPo talent.
  • Read and use Job Competencies & Competency frameworks/model
  • Talent (HiPo) assessment and management
  • To understand gaps in competencies & discuss the gaps.

Certificate

After completion of the faculty development program, an e-certificate will be provided to participants.

Pedagogy

The program would be delivered through a combination of methods to help the participants gain insights mainly through activities, short-assignments, interaction with industry expert, discussions.

Program Director

Prof. Prachi Bhatt: Professor in Organization Behavior & Human Resources at FORE School of Management. She has a Ph.D. and Masters in Human Resource Management (Gold Medalist). She has over 13 years of research, teaching and training experience. She is a Specialist Expert in Competency based Management, HRSG, Canada. She is also Certified in Negotiation Research and Teaching from one of the world's best Business Schools - Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University, USA. She is an active participant in conferences & seminars and has papers to her credit and has published in National and International refereed journals of repute. She has also co-authored a book titled “Riding the New Tides: Navigating the Future Through Effective People Management”, published by Emerald Publishing (India) in 2017. She also has to her credit book-chapters in the books published by Emerald Publishing (India), Bloomsbury Publishing houses. Negotiation Skill, Competency Mapping and Management, Psychometric Research, Intrinsic Motivation, Cultural studies, are her areas of interests. Her research experience and corporate association cover projects with Zydus Cadila Healthcare Ltd., Ahmedabad, Gujarat Co-operative Milk Marketing Federation Ltd, Anand, and Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals, New Delhi. She has designed and conducted MDPs for corporate executives in both public and private sector organizations. She is also Head, Centre for Psychometric Testing & Research (CPTR) at FORE.
