About "PGPM in Healthcare Analytics"

Data is everywhere in healthcare. Both clinical and non-clinical work relies heavily on data to drive performance and improve outcomes. Having a solid understanding of healthcare analytics is key to making an impact on healthcare organizations. Harnessing the power of healthcare data analytics empowers leaders — in all fields of care, not just in Healthcare Informatics departments - to make data-driven decisions that lead to improved quality, cost, and care.

With the rapid acceptance of IT in the Healthcare sector, healthcare organisations are able to capture large amounts of data. These data come from a variety of sources and are recorded in different forms such as patient satisfaction surveys, patient medical records patient complaint registers, usage statistics of medical facilities, employee training reports, purchase registers, journals and ledgers, etc. Effective analysis of these large amounts of organisational data can lead to better decision making.

With this objective, the FORE launched this program in Healthcare Analytics.

The health sector has generally been generating a large amount of data. Today, many hospitals are computerized leading to massive volumes of patient data, sensor data coming out of electronic instruments, claims and cost data, inventory & drugs data, and HR data. Machine Learning and Deep Learning techniques offer a way to explore and make sense out of this data and make very useful predictions

The program is divided into five modules. Module-I introduces Healthcare and its multiple aspects. Module-II is regarding a host of digital technologies being used in this sector. Modules-III, IV, V, and VI relate to Analytics.
