Rapid changes in business environments require organizations to take evidence-based decisions. Performance management is no exception, and data-based analytics has emerged as an essential tool to align human resource management with business strategy. Performance management analytics would provide firms with real-time and actionable insights on various dimensions of employee performance. It also steers a firm away from the data trap by analysing relevant data and uncovering meaningful inferences. Performance management analytics enriches a firm's HR capabilities by being a data-driven partner to achieve its business goals and objectives.

Programme Objective:

This programme aims to help the participants understand the performance management practice, process, metrics, and recent development in performance management. The objectives of the program will be as follows:

  • Understand the need for data in performance management
  • Develop employee performance metrics relevant to the business and the firm
  • Understand the future road map of performance management

Day-1

  • Overview of Performance Management System (PMs) and PM Analytics
  • Designing and Implementations of PMS
  • Multi-Rater Feedback (360-degree appraisal).

Day-2

  • Performance management metrics and dashboards
  • Balanced Score Card and Performance Analytics
  • Ethical Issues and emerging trends in performance management

Lectures through audio-visual presentation, structured exercises, Group discussion and Case studies

The target participants for the programme range from junior to middle management executives of any organisation-- private, public, cooperatives, government, NGOs, etc.

Program Directors:

Prof. Chandra Sekhar is working as an assistant professor at the FORE School of Management, New Delhi. His areas of interest include HR system, human capital, Digital Environment, Sustainability in Organizational Settings, SMEs and Innovation. Dr Sekhar has done significant research published in national and international journals to his credit.

Prof. Chiradip Bandyopadhyay is trained in managing technology and human resources. He has been a practising HR manager in manufacturing and services sector firms. He has been with organisations such as the Aditya Birla Group, IBM, Jindal Stainless Ltd, IMRB and lastly, as Head HR with Tata Metaliks Ltd. Exposure to diverse business and management contexts enables him to weave experiences from practice into academic endeavours in terms of teaching and research. He has published papers in national as well as international journals. He teaches organisational behaviour, organisational structure design and theory, human resource management, recruitment & selection and competency-based HRM.
