Programme Introduction:

One begins developing an effective plan for your unit or organization by doing internal and external diagnostics to determine what is happening to your competitive advantage. The programme is unusual in that you will be exposed to a wide range of strategic possibilities, including performance movements, generic business models, and strategic innovation perspectives. You will also discover gaps in capability and resources that must be filled. By improving your capacity to assess value-creation potential and risk, you will be able to make more informed strategic decisions, establish viable new operating models, and innovate to turn technological and other threats into opportunities. With the assistance of your facilitator, you will leave with a customized roadmap that will guide your company or organisation towards strategic ambitions that are both ambitious and realistic.

  1. Introduction to the philosophy and tenets of Strategic Thinking
  2. Unraveling the strategic Thinking based approach to problem-solving
  3. Primer to strategic Thinking stages and associated tools and techniques
  4. Hands-on Demonstration of utility and applicability of strategic Thinking in real problem-solving scenarios
  5. Understand which frameworks and tools to utilize for internal and external analyses.
  6. Ability to apply concepts and frameworks to business cases and real-life organizations.
  7. Ability to analyze an organization’s resources and capabilities.

Programme Content:

Make a habit of thinking strategically. Consider how internal and external forces will affect your strategic moves. Evaluate top and bottom line performance moves, business models and strategic innovations Identify strategic moves with the best trade-off between value creating potential and implementation risk and Design a strategic roadmap for your business or organization. This will be realized by targeting the specific agenda like;

  • Strategy as value game plan
  • Tools for market and portfolio analysis
  • Industry analysis frameworks and tools
  • MECE approach
  • Strategy implementation framework and tools
  • Value chain analysis & mapping value configurations

Programme Methodology:

The programme will use a mix of lectures, case & situation analysis, exercises, and group work to fulfill its objectives.

Prof. Anil Kumar Singh Prof. Anil Kumar Singh is an accomplished academic and strategy expert who presently holds the position of Professor and Area Chair of Strategy at the FORE School of Management in New Delhi. Having spent more than 24 years in this field, he has been imparting his knowledge to future managers and has been actively engaged in conducting research on various aspects of strategy, competitive advantage, value creation, change management, and innovation. He has contributed significantly to the academic field with two edited books and 20+ publications in journals like Technological Forecasting and Social Change, International Journal of Strategic Change Management, International Journal of Management and Business Research, Human Systems Management, and more. He is a accomplished researcher with expertise in the areas of dynamic capabilities, sustainability strategies, organizational adaptation, agility, strategic change, sustainability practices, and developing new business models. His diverse research and consulting interests share a common objective of empowering businesses to adapt and prosper in the ever-changing global economy. By providing the necessary tools, insights, and skills, he equips future leaders with the resources they need to succeed in the dynamic business landscape.
