PGDM-International Business Management

The two-year full time PGDM (IBM) programme aims at preparing students to take up careers in corporate and family businesses engaged in International Business operations.

 

  •  To develop and train participants for assuming positions of responsibility in the corporate or family business sector in the context of an International environment.
  • To provide a thorough grounding in the conceptual framework of management theory, in the skills appropriate to managerial practice, as well as in the essential issues in International business operation
  • To equip the participants for working in a competitive global environment enabling them to face confidently the pressures and challenges of the new millennium in achieving competitive advantage. 

The basic thrust is on learning organizational dynamics in the context of global business environment. This would help the students to focus on acquiring skills to adopt internationally benchmarked decision making tools and implementation practices

 

International Professional Study Tour

A professional short-term study tour to Silicon Valley (USA) after Term- III, is offered on an optional basis, so that students interact with global organizations and gain an International experience.

Admission Procedure & Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility Condition

  • The candidate must hold a Bachelor’s degree with minimum 50% marks, of any of the Universities incorporated by an Act of Central or State Legislature in India or other Educational institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under section 3 of UGC Act 1956 or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India. The Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification obtained by the candidate must entail or minimum of 3 years of education after completing Higher Secondary Schooling (10+2) equivalent.
  • Candidates appearing for the final year degree examination in the year 2010 can also apply subject to furnishing the proof of graduation by October 1, 2010.

 

How to Apply

  • All candidates are required to appear in the Common Admission Test (CAT) to be conducted by IIMs from November 28, 2009 to December 7, 2009. For further details please refer to the CAT advertisement that has appeared in all the leading newspapers on 30th August 2009.
  • Apply to FSM on a separate application form that will be available from FORE School of Management for Rs. 1600/- in cash. The candidates who desire to get the application form by post should send a DD of Rs. 1650/- in favour of FORE School of Management, Payable at New Delhi.

 

Selection Process

  • CAT is one of the components used for short listing candidates who apply to FSM.
  • Final selection will be based on CAT percentile, GD & PI Score, Academic record and relevant Work experience

Fee Details

General Candidates
Rs. 4 Lacs – 1st year, Rs. 3.75 Lacs – 2nd year
(This includes Tution Fee, Library charges, Computer charges, Books and Reading Material)

Company Sponsored Candidates
Rs. 5.50 Lacs – 1st year, Rs. 5.50 Lacs – 2nd year
(This includes Tution Fee, Library charges, Computer charges, Books and Reading Material)
