Programme Introduction:

Development projects especially in emerging economy which face resource crunch resort to public private partnerships for effective implementation. These could include projects in various sectors, such as water resources, transportation (roads, bridges, railways), sanitation, waste management, energy, telecommunication, and other potential sectors. These projects present unique problems for structuring, risk management, and financing as they are usually characterized by large investment, long gestation periods, and very specific domestic markets

Programme Objectives:

The program objective is to equip the participants with skills necessary to conceptualize, analyze, appraise, finance, and implement projects in PPP mode and understand the challenges faced.

Programme Contents:

  • Project selection and preparation, Schedule, Project life cycle, Economical perspective of PPP
  • Project Financing.
  • Tendering, Contracting and Concession Agreements
  • Implementation and monitoring of PPP projects
  • Evaluating Financial Viability and Risk analysis of PPP
  • Social cost benefit Analysis of Project

Class room lectures, case studies and experience sharing from participants.

Programme Director’s

Prof. Mohita Gangwar Sharma

Prof. Mohita Gangwar Sharma is having 22 years of work experience, worked in the Transformer Design Area in BHEL and the Materials Management Deptt. of Air India (erstwhile Indian Airlines) dealing with Procurement, Inventory Planning and Inventory Reporting. Experience in the operational area of both manufacturing and service industry. Professor in Operations Management, FPM (IIM-Lucknow), MPIB (IIFT), B.Tech. (Electrical) (IIT_BHU) Varanasi. She has been a Chevening Rolls Royce Science and Innovation Fellowship (CRISP) Scholar at SAID Business School, University of Oxford. She is also the recipient of the coveted NTSE Scholarship. She obtained her doctorate from the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Lucknow, making a seminal contribution in the area of Spare Parts Management. Her industry profile includes a stint at BHEL, Bhopal, where she was involved in Product Designing, Manufacturing and Testing, and ISO-9000 Activities. She worked in Indian Airlines in Materials Management Department where she was involved with Tendering, Contract Execution, Inventory Management Aspects of Supply Chain. She has published widely in International Journals and participated in National & International Conferences. She brings the rich experience of the industry and tough academic rigor to her research. Her current areas of research include Circular Economy, Sustainable Operations, Operations Strategy, Product Service Systems, Supply Chain Intelligence, and Service Operations.

Prof Vandana Gupta

Prof Vandana Gupta is a PGDM from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad and a PhD Finance in credit risk. She has more than a decade of experience with the industry and has worked with some of the leading corporates as ICRA Limited, Religare Securities Limited, Infosys, Bennett Coleman & Co Limited, and Modi Telstra. She has been associated with B-schools as MDI, IMI as a visiting faculty, and IMT-Ghaziabad. Her teaching areas are Financial Accounting, Corporate Finance, Business Valuations, Corporate Restructuring and M&A, Credit Risk Analysis and Management. She has to her credit several publications in national and international journals and has presented research papers in national and international conferences. She has also undertaken management development programs in Project Financing, spreadsheet modeling for M&A, and credit risk modeling.
